“Whilst it is pleasing to see my home town of Manchester thriving in many ways, it is also concerning to see that poverty levels remain stubbornly high. Growing up in the city in the 1980s, poverty was very visible. It may not be as immediately visible in 2022 but it is still there. And it shouldn’t be. I am proud to support and work with GMPA in their vision and to help people trapped in a cycle of poverty to escape and prosper.”
